Gwanghwamun National Museum of Korean History Digital Signage Interactive Media Art Content Planning, Production, and Operation

Project Description

– Planned, produced, and operated interactive media art content
for digital signage on the exterior wall
of the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History in Gwanghwamun,
where Korea's past and future intersect.

– A public interactive media artwork that artistically depicts renewable energy through a large 90-meter-wide L-shaped LED screen.

A NEW DAY: ENERGY UTOPIA

This is a participatory media art piece that aims to effectively inform the public about renewable energy,
which is not well known to the public.
Each participant can join the campaign through a mobile webpage and send their participation history to the screen.
The three characters, symbolizing solar, wind, and hydroelectric energy respectively,
show colorful gestures and express a feast of energy through objects
in the glass sphere that reflect actual renewable energy generation data and real-time participation based on each character's characteristics.
The background that surrounds the characters is a metaphor for the power of energy,
which is constantly generated through time, crossing between night and day.
We utilized various technologies such as mobile web interaction and real-time NFT issuance to create a complete campaign.
